An Octogenarian in the modern world

What I meant last time is that the secular state is limiting. If something is not made illegal then a citizen is entitled to consider it OK behaviour. “If it was wrong, there would be a law against it, would there not? The state determines right and wrong, does it not? Did the media types now pilloried for their actions see themselves as evil at the time? Or did they think “Nobody is stopping us, so it must be OK? They probably did not think about the summary of the law offered by Jesus. So Christianity offers something beyond the scope of the secular state.

It is interesting that when criticising the multi-nationals who pay minimum corporation tax in UK, people use the word MORAL.  They seem to be invoking some standard above that of the state.
