An Octogenarian in the modern world

Congratulations to the people who felt wronged and fought for years to get justice. Cover-ups are a very interesting phenomenon. Who decides on a cover-up? How does he/she persuade others to join in? How many highly-placed people send subtle signals indicating that they will turn a blind eye? Does society wait till the principal villains are dead before exposing the thing? Surely a cover-up is similar to ‘spinning’ which is with us today. By coincidence, the same day (nearly) brings us the alleged discovery of the body of Richard III. He has been a Grade A villain for 5oo plus years – partly because Shakespeare made him one and the Tudors were still ruling England. Make the loser a real monster and any villainy of the winner seems less important.
